Taylor believes journalism can bring people together through our common humanity—sharing the experiences, struggles and triumphs that help us better understand one another. She wants viewers to know that she genuinely cares about the people behind the stories and is committed to finding solutions, offering different perspectives and giving a voice to communities whose stories may not always be heard.
Taylor joined KPRC 2 as a reporter in 2026, bringing years of experience telling stories in her home state of Ohio and a passion for reporting that helps people live better lives.
Originally from a small town in central Ohio, Taylor graduated from Ohio University in Athens. And yes, she’ll be quick to point out that it’s Ohio University—not Ohio State.
Taylor began her journalism career in Cleveland, working for Spectrum News 1 Ohio before moving to Columbus. She spent three years as a reporter and another three years as an anchor and reporter, covering stories across the state while staying close to her friends and family. She eventually decided it was time for a new adventure and made the move to Houston, where she’s excited to continue growing in a much larger market.
Taylor is especially drawn to accountability and solutions-based stories, as well as reporting that helps people see perspectives different from their own. She hopes her work can connect viewers through the issues they share—and through the everyday moments that make each community unique.
Outside the newsroom, Taylor loves staying active and meeting new people. She has played basketball and soccer, run track and competed in rowing. She’s currently looking for a Houston run club, recreational basketball league or cycling group to join. Taylor also enjoys traveling internationally, attending concerts, creating fun social media videos and exploring Houston’s food scene—especially its Tex-Mex and queso. She’s already bought her cowboy boots and hat and is excited to experience everything Houston has to offer!
