Storms cause standing water along Hwy. 290 in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Afternoon thunderstorms caused areas of puddling and standing water along a Houston interstate Friday.

Traffic cameras near Hwy. 290 at Mueschke Road showed cars driving through standing water along the feeder road and exit ramp.

The stormy weather is expected to move out by the Friday evening rush hour. Drivers are urged to use caution and watch for water on roadways.
