HOUSTON – With less than 100 days until the Tokyo Olympics, Houston’s own Simone Biles is keeping up a rigorous training schedule.

Biles shed some light on what it takes to be a world-class gymnast during an interview Friday with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

The most decorated American gymnast said she’s training at least seven hours a day, six days a week.

“Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, I train twice a day, and on Thursday and Saturday, I train once a day,” Biles said.

She also spent some time promoting her docuseries called “Simone vs. Herself.” The show follows Biles’ training process leading up to the Olympics. It will air on Facebook Watch about the same time as the Olympics this summer.

Fallon said his daughters think of Biles as a role model, and he asked her what advice she might have for girls and women.

“Dream big and dream bigger after that,” she said. “You never know where you’re dreams will take you.”

The Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 23.
