HOUSTON – Award-winning journalist Brandon Walker is returning to Houston and KPRC 2 as an ENOUGH Reporter, beginning October 12.
Walker previously spent more than eight years at KPRC 2 as a reporter and anchor, covering major breaking news and some of the biggest stories impacting Houston and our region.
Now, he’s returning with a new assignment: joining ENOUGH to dig deeper into the issues affecting Houstonians, ask tough questions and seek answers on behalf of our community.
“Brandon already understands Houston, but more importantly, he understands the responsibility that comes with telling the stories of this community,” said Ana Lastra, KPRC 2 News Director. “He is a relentless reporter, a gifted storyteller and a journalist who knows how to ask difficult questions while never losing sight of the people affected by the answers. We’re thrilled to welcome him home and have him join the ENOUGH team.”
A familiar face returns to Houston
Walker first joined KPRC 2 in 2015 as a morning reporter and went on to serve in several reporting and anchoring roles during his time at the station.
Most recently, Walker worked as an anchor and reporter at WWL-TV in his hometown of New Orleans.
His journalism career has also included reporting and anchoring roles in Connecticut and New York, along with experience at CBS News. Walker is a graduate of Carleton College and earned his master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. His work has been recognized with multiple Emmy and Edward R. Murrow awards.
Joining the ENOUGH team
As an ENOUGH Reporter, Walker will focus on stories that go beyond the headline—examining issues affecting Houston-area communities, seeking answers from those in positions of responsibility and continuing to follow stories as they develop.
His addition strengthens the ENOUGH team’s commitment to listening to Houstonians, investigating their concerns and pursuing the questions viewers want answered.
For Walker, it’s also an opportunity to return to a community that played an important role in his career.
Brandon Walker officially returns to KPRC 2 on October 12.
Welcome home, Brandon.
