HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman is listed in critical condition after being intentionally struck by a vehicle in north Harris County Tuesday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported in the 400 block of FM-1960, near the North Freeway.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the woman, believed to be 18-years-old, remains in critical condition at a hospital as of Tuesday evening.
The sheriff’s office says Jorge Luis Perez, 24, is charged with aggravated assault and has been booked into the Harris County Jail.

The sheriff’s office says it is believed Perez and the woman are in a dating relationship and are both from Arkansas. It is believed the two were involved in an argument while traveling inside a pickup truck.
At some point, the sheriff’s office says the woman got out of the vehicle and Perez allegedly drove away before turning around and intentionally hitting her with the truck and fleeing.
The investigation remains active.
