19-year-old shot & killed in a robbery in Houston’s South Side

HOUSTON – Houston police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Corder Street near Tierwester Street.

Officer got to the scene around 7:45 p.m. on Monday night.

According to HPD, 19-year-old Jose Acosta and his 15-year-old brother were in a car when three armed males robbed them. Acosta attempted to get away and at least one of the males shot into the car, which ended in a ditch.

Acosta was injured and transported to a hospital, where he passed away. His brother was not injured.

Investigators are still looking for the three suspects, who took off after the shooting.
