Drivers in east Harris County should expect significant delays Tuesday after a heavy truck and hazardous materials incident shut down multiple lanes along State Highway 146.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, southbound SH 146 at SH 225 has multiple main lanes blocked because of the incident.
TxDOT crews are on the scene, and a hazmat contractor is en route to assist with cleanup efforts.
Officials have not released information about injuries or when the affected lanes are expected to reopen.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
