Woman struck and killed by multiple vehicles on Highway 6 in west Harris County

A woman was hit and killed by several vehicles while walking along Highway 6 Thursday night in west Harris County, according to deputies.

The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. in the 8400 block of South Highway 6 near Beechnut. Investigators say the woman was walking in the southbound lane of Highway 6 when she was hit by multiple vehicles that didn’t stop and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A northbound driver stopped to report the crash, and investigators believe the first vehicle that hit the woman may have been a white or silver GMC pickup.
