It’s unclear how it all transpired, but Precinct 1 Deputy Constables were called to a weapons disturbance situation around 1:15 a.m. at a home on Inwood North Road near West Mount Houston Road.

Investigators said the man shot at deputies when they tried to talk to him before barricading himself inside the home. SWAT team units with the Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office were deployed just before 4:30 a.m.

Sometime after 5 a.m., however, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed the standoff “concluded” with the man coming out of his home and was detained “without further incident.”

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but an investigation remains underway.
