CLEAR LAKE, Texas – Crime scene tape was seen surrounding a home in Clear Lake after a search warrant led investigators to the body of a man on Tuesday afternoon.
Houston police said a man, in his 30s, had been missing for about two months, and a search warrant was granted for the location.
Once inside, missing persons investigators found a man dead inside the residence. Investigators have yet to confirm the man found dead is the missing man they were looking for.
Investigators said they are questioning two people who were inside the home when the body was found. They are working to determine if something “nefarious” happened. Both individuals have been taken to HPD Headquarters downtown.
KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry was at the scene of the discovery. He learned that man’s body was reportedly in a “decomposing state” by the time it was found.
His cause of death will be determined by medical examiners.
The missing man’s identity has not been released at this time.
