LIST: Here are some family-friendly places to take the little ones on Halloween this Monday

All the little ghouls and goblins will be outside searching for the sweetest treats this Halloween, and we want to ensure they enjoy it in the safest way possible.

If your neighborhood is not hosting a night of trick-or-treating, here’s a list of family-friendly events taking place on Monday, Oct. 31.

Trick-or-Treat in Galveston - Monday, Oct. 31, 5 to 6:30 p.m. – Galveston’s oldest residence, the 1838 Menard House opens its gates to trick-or-treaters for history-making fun! Individual bags of candy will be given to young guests with free admission on the property

Boo Bash at Humble Civic Center - Monday, Oct. 31, 5 to 9 p.m. – Join the Sweetest Place on Earth, The Gingerbread School for our 3rd Annual Community Boo Bash! Family Friendly Event- Free Admission & Parking. Live Performances by Local Dance and Drill Teams. Free Face Painting, Crafts, Inflatables, Costume Contest and CANDY! Additional Food, Drinks, and Alcoholic beverages for Sale at event.

Trick or Treat Trail at Independence Park - Monday, Oct. 31, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. – Calling all ghosts and goblins! Join us at the 18th Annual Trick or Treat Trail! Trick-or-Treaters of all ages are invited out to this FREE community-wide event. Local businesses and organizations will line the “trail” to pass out candy and other goodies.

Acres Homes Annual Trunk R Treat at Acres Homes Multi-Service Center - Monday, Oct. 31, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. - The Acres Homes Trunk or Treat is a safe and fun alternative way to avoid “door to door” trick or treating for the community!

Zoo Boo at Houston Zoo - Monday, October 31, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., last entry at 4:00 p.m.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, and guests will have plenty of favorites to experience, including visiting our Giant Pumpkin presented by LyondellBasell and the Carved Pumpkins sponsored by Frost Bank. Don’t miss our Pumpkin Lantern Tunnel between the lions and tiger exhibits, our spooktacular Scary-Go-Round sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital, photo ops all over the Zoo, and much more!
