HOUSTON – The inmate who escaped from a transport bus near Ellington Airport in September is now accused of sexually assaulting a person he was supposed to drive home, Crime Stoppers of Houston confirmed.
Pedro Francisco Castillo-Hernandez, 29, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, Houston police said.

On March 14 at 4 a.m., police said the victim was getting a ride home but Castillo-Hernandez took the person to a remote location instead, where he sexually assaulted and struck the victim in the face several times.
Police did not disclose whether the victim knew Castillo-Hernandez or if this was a rideshare incident.
Castillo-Hernandez has been wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s Office since his escape on Sept. 28.
The inmate was caught on video crawling through an opening on the back of a moving bus and then rolling onto the road in the area of I-45 South and Dixie Farm Road.

Castillo-Hernandez was originally in custody for illegally entering the United States multiple times from Mexico.
He is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He has a tattoo on his right arm.
Crime Stoppers is offering to pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 713-222-8477.
