Man, woman shot, killed in Spring double homicide, officials say

A man and a woman were found death in Spring Tuesday

SPRING, Texas – A man and woman are dead following a shooting in the Spring area according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Pier Pont Apartments on Springwood Village Parkway near the Hardy Toll Road, according to Sgt. Jason Brown of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division.

When authorities arrived, Brown said they found several clothing items and firearms that had been tossed out of the second-story apartment where the shooting had happened.

Upon going inside, authorities said they found the bodies of a man and a woman. Neither are believed to be the leaseholders of the apartment. Brown said the person whose name is on the lease was not home.

Brown said they do not believe the incident was a murder-suicide and that the shooter fled the scene. There did not appear to be signs of forced entry into the apartment, but Brown said many elements are still under investigation.

Investigators are working to get a search warrant so they can investigate the apartment and surveillance video in hopes of finding out more about the victims and what may have led to the shooting, Brown said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the HCSO Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
