Deputies said there was an ongoing family dispute over the past several days, leading up to Monday’s fatal shooting. Deputies said several people have been detained and being questioned.

“A dispute happened and my brother tried to run, tried to escape from that dispute,” Hood’s younger brother, Chris Bradford, said. “He was fired at several times from different people.”

“I’m just trying to get to the bottom of it because there’s a lot of people hurting,” he added. “My brother, he was one of a kind, man.”

Bradford said Hood was visiting his cousins in Rosharon at the time of the shooting.
