HOUSTON – It’s one of the most famous love stories ever told—and now, Romeo and Juliet is taking the stage at Houston’s Alley Theatre.
William Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed lovers runs through October 18, 2026, inside the Hubbard Theatre.
Set in timeless Verona, this production follows two young lovers who defy the forces trying to keep them apart—and risk everything for love.
Melissa Molano, a member of Alley Theatre’s Resident Acting Company, stars as Juliet, with Rob Kellogg as Romeo. The production is directed by Rob Melrose and features the Alley’s entire Resident Acting Company.
While the story is centuries old, this production explores why its themes of love, conflict, youth and taking risks continue to resonate with audiences today. The staging combines period Verona with some modern touches, giving this familiar story a fresh feel.
Tickets are available at alleytheatre.org/Juliet, or by calling 713-220-5700.
Watch as Lauren Kelly chats with both Melissa and Rob all about the production.
