Got paddle? Local table tennis phenom Alina Wang shows her ping pong skills

HOUSTON – Houston is hosting the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships at the George R. Brown Convention center, the first time this renowned sporting event is hosted in the Americas.

This is a unique chance to see the world’s best table tennis players competing right here in our backyard.

Alina Wang, a local 10-year-old phenom who plays at the Houston International Table Tennis Academy (HITTA), stopped by Houston Life to play a game of table tennis with Derrick Shore before she appears as a ball girl in the tournament happening now through Nov. 29.

Wang is a third-grader at Campbell Elementary school in Fulshear.
