In Houston many preparations have been made to honor St. Patrick. There will be parades, block parties and more to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland.

POST Houston

On March 11, enjoy a day full of festive activities at the 62nd Annual Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will begin and end at POST. Guests can enjoy lawn games, food provided by POST food hall, Irish folk dancers, bagpipe performances, an outdoor flea market, live music by DJ Forte, and more. Gatsby’s Grill

The craft-casual concept by Gatsby Hospitality is celebrating the holiday with lots of green, from $4-$5 green draft beers to $7 Tullamore Dew shots. They’re also celebrating all month long with a special cocktail feature, 4 Leaf Clover Club ($18) made with Tullamore Dew Whiskey, Lillet Rose Vermouth, raspberry syrup and topped with frothy egg white, and an Angostura four leaf clover.

GJ Tavern

Underbelly Hospitality’s downtown Houston restaurant and bar will host an exclusive six-course dinner experience at 7:30 p.m. on the beloved Irish holiday. Sport your favorite green outfit and enjoy executive chef Tim Reading’s special menu, which includes beer and Irish spirits pairings. Pairings include Harp Lager cured salmon served with Harp Lager; Trillium brie with accoutrements served with Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey; duck confit served with Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey; bangers and mash served with Smithwick’s Red Ale; Guinness beef stew served with Guinness Stout; and caramelized white hot chocolate served with 5 Farms Irish Cream.

Kirby Ice House

Stop by any Kirby Ice House on St. Patrick’s Day for some celebratory green beer or indulge in the Jameson specials while you watch March Madness. The Houston Highlanders, Pipes, and Drums will perform.

All Saints Block Party

The “ALL SAINTS Block Party” will take place in the Todos Santos/Kung Fu Saloon parking lot located in the 5300 block of Washington Avenue n March 17. It will feature world renowned DJs, food, games and other activities.

The lot will be transformed into an outdoor block party with a state-of-the-art sound stage, VIP sections, life size beer pong, corn hole, multiple satellite bars and specially curated vendors. The All-Saints Stage will showcase performances from Laidback Luke, Breathe Carolina and Felix Cartal.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door the day of the event.

EZ’s Liquor Lounge

EZ’s Liquor Lounge is hosting two St. Patty’s Day celebrations including an outdoor parking lot party complete with a live DJ set, Nitro Irish Coffee specials, and food from TRUTH BBQ.

  • Made with Paddy’s Irish Whisky, dark sugar syrup, cold brew, and thickened cream, the Nitro Irish Coffee at EZ’s Liquor Lounge, is unlike typical Irish Coffee that’s served hot, as it’s infused with nitrogen gas, causing the temperature of the drink to chill, the texture to thicken, and the bitterness to subside.
